I absolutely love everything about this diorama. If you haven’t read my previous post about Zidane and Steiner, I’ll recap for you because these are practically the same (minus the scene depicted). These dioramas could only be obtained from UFO machines (claw machines) in Japan around the launch of IX. There are three altogether (links are below to the other two). It is made from plastic and has little weight to it but the paintwork and the detail on the […]
It has taken me years to get this diorama! I had seen them floating around on the net ages ago but it’s only been recently that I’ve actually went on Ebay and picked up a few bargains. First off this diorama came unboxed but that isn’t an issue for me as I am not too fond of the packaging. These sets were only available from UFO machines in Japan (claw machine) back when IX was released as far as I […]

Auron was yet another purchase without the box. I don’t usually make a habit of this (I’m a bit of a sucker for packaging) but this came with a large bundle I brought. Like with Tidus and Yuna (also in this series), Auron is very detailed but suffers from lack of articulation due to one arm being in his coat. His other arm suffers from the same issue as Yuna’s (it has an unusual pin-like joint so it falls off […]
I brought Yuna along with Tidus unboxed and as seen in the photos. I think the detail is lovely on her but the thing which ruins this figure for me is her arms. They are just so poor. They have a ‘pin’ type joint (I don’t know the technical name) and there is a reason why this type of joint doesn’t appear on any other Play Arts series (as far as I am aware!): her arms just drop off when […]
I brought this Tidus figure unboxed from another fellow collector very recently along with a couple of other Play Arts figures. The X range is very old so it’s obvious the newer Play Arts are a lot more polished. Even so the detail on Tidus is still impressive. The only downside is that I find his articulation rather limited which is a shame. I can’t seem to pose him in an action shot. As you may be able to tell […]
Ever since this was announced I have wanted this figure but I had almost completely given up on it due to it’s very high price point. By chance another collector was selling his and I bagged this at a very good price. To be honest I can’t believe I waited so long to buy it because it is quite simply the nicest figure I own. To begin – it is huge. You can see how big Lightning is next to […]

I own so many Play Arts figures yet have barely published any yet so apologies for that! Here is my Lightning figure. Sadly I don’t have my XIII Lightning here for a comparison but I will be putting up some photographs of that at some point in the future! Lightning looks very polished in this figure. The detail is outstanding and reflects the very painful price (it would not surprise me if the word Kai translated to double price in […]
I loved the promotional artwork for XIII-2 so these two plastic wallets were an instant buy. I own the XIII set of wallets too (listed earlier in this blog).
I knew little about Type-0 when I ordered this wallet (and regretably didn’t bothered to pick up any other merch on the title). I brought this on a whim as I really liked the artwork of Rem and Machina. Having now tried the game I kind of wish I had brought more Type 0 pieces.
I love the design of this little coin case, it’s made really well out of soft material. Unfortunately Square didn’t put a zip on it and there doesn’t seem to be much space for coins inside (you’d have a job getting them out, providing they didn’t fall out beforehand!). It’s also a little too bulky to go in a bag. I’d say this is more a decorative piece or something for a child to collect coins with as I can’t […]
